After years of requests we’re now starting to offer bread making courses!
If you’ve always wanted to recreate our crusty, open crumbed sourdough and bubbly focaccia at home, or have dabbled a bit in bread baking but want to level up our course will be a solid introduction to the world of sourdough.
Diving deep into the science, method and techniques involved in making beautiful sourdough loaves, focaccia, pizza romana and our favourite cinnamon buns.
Our head baker George will guide you through six hours of hands on mixing, shaping, scoring and baking in our brand new training space just 10 minutes from our Gosforth production bakery.
You’ll learn traditional sourdough techniques (and take home some of our 13 year old starter), understand how to mix, fold and shape dough to get the airy results you’re after and find out about working with enriched doughs too.
Lunch will be baked and eaten together and we’ll send you home with a goodie bag of tools and recipes to get your baking habit off to the best start.
Course dates will be released in early 2025 and bread courses will run on weekends from Easter onwards.
